Waynesboro's Reliable Heating & Cooling Experts, Comfort You Can Count On

Your Comfort Shouldn’t Be a Hassle: Get Reliable HVAC Service in Waynesboro

Waynesboro is about 12 miles east of our Staunton shop along I-64, and we are in town and in nearby Stuarts Draft regularly for repairs, tune-ups and new systems.

HVAC Across Waynesboro

Waynesboro's homes span a long stretch of history. The Tree Streets and Basic City have early twentieth century houses, some still heating with original boilers or furnaces that have been patched for decades. Ranch homes in Wayne Hills and the neighborhoods built after the war often have their second or third system by now. Newer builds out toward Lyndhurst and Brandon Farms usually run heat pumps.

Older homes tend to need the most thought. Ducts sized for a furnace from another era may be too small for modern central air, and some rooms were never on the duct system at all. Before we quote a replacement, we look at the ducts and the house, not just the old unit's label, so the new system is sized for how the home actually heats and cools. If you are already thinking about a new system, our Waynesboro HVAC replacement page explains how that works.

Valley Weather and Your Heat Pump

Sitting at the foot of the Blue Ridge, Waynesboro gets humid summers and sharp cold snaps. Humidity is part of the cooling load: a system that is too large cools the air fast and shuts off before it pulls the moisture out, which leaves the house cool but clammy. In winter, a heat pump works hardest on the coldest mornings, when it leans on its backup heat and runs defrost cycles. A heat pump that runs on backup heat all the time, or that ices over and stays iced, needs a visit.

Ductwork Is Half the System

A new unit connected to leaky or undersized ducts will never perform the way it should. In many Waynesboro homes the ducts run through crawlspaces and attics, where loose joints and crushed runs leak conditioned air into places nobody lives. The symptoms are rooms that never get comfortable, a system that runs and runs, and bills that do not match the size of the house.

When we assess a replacement, we look at the ducts as well: how they are sized, how well they are sealed and whether every room has a proper supply and return. Sometimes sealing and correcting a few runs fixes a comfort problem without a new system at all.

Waynesboro HVAC FAQs

Why does my heat pump blow cool air in the winter?

Some of that is normal. Heat pump air feels cooler than furnace air even when it is heating, and the system briefly runs a defrost cycle in cold, damp weather. If the house is not keeping up, the outdoor unit stays coated in ice, or the backup heat never shuts off, call us.

Is it worth repairing an older furnace or heat pump?

Sometimes. A single failed part on a system in good shape is usually worth fixing. Repeated breakdowns, a cracked heat exchanger or an old refrigerant type point toward replacement. We explain the numbers and let you decide.

Do you work in Stuarts Draft and Dooms too?

Yes. Stuarts Draft, Dooms, Lyndhurst and the rest of the Waynesboro area are all part of our regular service area.

Do you offer same-day HVAC service in Waynesboro?

Yes, in most cases. Call (540) 448-7780 and we will tell you the earliest time we can be there.

Is Integrity Air Solutions licensed?

Yes. Integrity Air Solutions is a licensed Virginia Class C contractor and is accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
